Gabrielle Rothwell

Gabrielle McDonald-Rothwell studied History and English and is a journalist, editor, author and war historian specialising in the Second World War.  She has also taught Creative Writing at Takapuna Grammar and Birkenhead College.  She has written for a wide range of New Zealand newspapers and magazines including the Reader's Digest. In 1989 she won an award for the Best Researched Article.  She is currently working on her fourth book The Sunken Garden.  Her previous books are New Zealand's Secret Heroes, Jack Hinton V.C. A Man Amongst Men and The Man With Nine Lives.  She lives in Auckland.
