I will but it might take me awhile. But I can answer a couple off the top of my head.
The worst thing about being a writer is your own self-doubt. Finding the time to write is hard enough but when the time is there and the mind is not aligned then re-reading what you have written and deciding its not worth editing let alone offering to someone for critique is worse. So sometimes putting it away until your mind is aligned works. The writing sometimes - and I mean sometimes - makes more sense then.
The other questions I can answer it #7 - I really enjoy the writing of Deborah Challinor. A NZ writer who sets her stories around NZ but expands to other places as she needs to. She wraps up the historical, the romantic and the adventures into a great package and they are worth reading. I would love to write like her one day and be as successful! (In my dreams - but dreams are free).
I've written an answer to this blog on my own blog at www.vickyadin.co.nz
Be the first to answer those questions....Vickyhttp://www.vickyadin.co.nznoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2127843717520791763.post-8100205067205535462012-04-27T17:27:00.916+12:002012-04-27T17:27:00.916+12:00My favourite author changes every time I read some...My favourite author changes every time I read something great. At the moment I'm a Salley Vickers fan, having just read "Miss Garnet's Angel". It was one of those books that when I'd finished I wanted to re-read immediately. But my favourite novel will be and has always been "Cannery Row" by John Steinbeck. Now, that's one I wish I had written. To be continued ...Jennyhttp://www.jennyharrison.co.nznoreply@blogger.com
