Interesting that women are by far the largest group of readers and buyers, but we female writers get the short end of the stick from reviewers and publishers. Fortunately, it's not all bad news. Of the last ten Booker Prizes, five have been awarded to women. After reading your post, Erin, I dashed to the shelf where I store my library books. Non-fiction are split fairly evenly and of the five novels I took out, four are by women. Dang, I'm good!<br />Nevertheless I do like the idea of supporting women writers. Perhaps we can think about doing a big "women writers only" thing after our March Indie-Published Celebration.
